Kanmangafuchi Abyss (Duration: 40 mins)
Kanmangafuchi Abyss is a small gorge formed by an eruption of Mt. Nantai. There is a row of approximately 70 stone statues of Jizo (a Bodhisattva who is the protector of children) along the river, and the legend says they mysteriously change in number each time they are counted. A botanical garden lies on the opposite side of the Jizo statues, where visitors can enjoy the scenery of the season. (On Foot)

Nikko Toshogu Shrine (Duration: 80 mins)

A registered UNESCO World Heritage Site, this sacred place with over 400 years of history is where Ieyasu Tokugawa, the founder of the Tokugawa Shogunate, is enshrined. Enjoy seeing the traditional beauty of the main hall, as well as the sleeping cat and 3 monkey carvings.

Lake Ashi Cruise (Duration: 15 mins)

At Lake Ashi in Hakone, customers can ride a cruise ship. Spend a relaxing time while gazing at the beautiful lake and Mt. Fuji.

Hakone Komagatake Ropeway (Duration: 50 mins)
Take a 7-minute ropeway ride to the peak of Mt.Komagatake. A total of 50 minutes will be spent here, including time to walk around at the peak. Take a cableway ride up to the spiritual Hakone Shrine Mototsumiya (original shrine) that nestles at the mountaintop. Enjoy the scenery of Lake Ashi spread out below.
*The tour may be guided to an alternative destination if the Komagatake Ropeway operation is suspended, or depending on road conditions, congestion, etc.

Customers that descend Mt. Komagatake early can stop by the souvenir corner at the foot of the mountain. (Bus)

A World Heritage site. Tour the historical castle completed in 1626, which was built to provide lodging for the Tokugawa Shogun and as a palladium for Kyoto Imperial Palace. The impressive, elaborate carvings and decors in the Ninomaru Palace are a must-see.

Kinkaku-ji Temple (Duration: 45 mins)

A World Heritage site. The wooden architecture is covered in thin layers of pure gold and is surrounded by a beautiful pond.

See the Kyoto Imperial Palace, which was used as the Emperor's residence until about 150 years ago.

[Kyoto Imperial Palace Closed Days] Kitano Tenmangu Shrine (Duration: 40 mins)

Kitano Tenmangu Shrine is the substitute for Kyoto Imperial Palace on days it is closed to visitors. It is famous for housing the God of scholarship. This shrine's main hall is a designated national treasure. The shrine is especially great to see during the plum blossom and autumn leaf seasons.

Visit the world's longest wooden structure, housing 1,001 life-size statues of Buddhist Kannon deities dating back to the 13th century.

Senso-ji, Tokyo's oldest temple, offers plenty to see including the bright red Kaminarimon Gate, a statue of the god of thunder, and a five-story pagoda. The bustling street known as "Nakamise" stretches for about 250 m from Kaminarimon Gate to Senso-ji Temple and is filled with a plethora of shops.

In such a case, it will be one of the following. Futarasan Shrine or Taiyuuin Mausoleum at Rinno-ji Temple - As there are slopes and stairs in areas around Nikko Toshogu Shrine and Kanmangafuchi Abyss, wearing shoes with good traction and clothing easy to walk in as well as using a backpack are recommended. (A distance of about 5 km will be covered.) - As there are land leeches from April to November, please be sure to keep your legs covered. Fuji's 5th Station cannot be reached due to road surface freezing or an accident on the Fuji Subaru Line, or due to weather conditions, etc., the tour will be taken to the highest elevation point possible. No alternative destinations are planned when the tour reaches beyond the 1st Station. However, when the tour has to turn back at the 1st Station or when the Fuji Subaru Line is completely blocked, the tour will visit Fujisan World Heritage Center or Lake Kawaguchi Oishi Park. Please note that an alternative itinerary may also be omitted depending on road conditions. - Due to weather conditions, Mt. Fuji may not be visible even from the base. However, the tour will not be canceled and refunds will not be given for this reason.- If the Lake Ashi cruise or Komagatake Ropeway cannot be boarded (when not visitable due to suspension of operation, road congestion, or conditions at other sightseeing areas), the tour will be guided to one of the following alternative destinations. [Important Notes/Supplements: About Day 9 Itinerary (Transfer from Kanazawa to Kyoto)] - In the spring of 2024, the Hokuriku Shinkansen line will be extended from Kanazawa to Tsuruga. Once operation starts, a train transfer will be made at Tsuruga Station. After arriving at Kyoto Station, customers will be welcomed by an Englishspeaking assistant who will assist in boarding. - The arrival time in Kyoto may be around 12:00 to past 14:00 depending on the reserved Shinkansen conditions and other reasons. (Mondays, Tuesday if Monday is a national holiday, and whenever there is an Imperial Household event) Nijo Castle is closed on Tuesdays in January, July, August, and December. [Important Notes/Supplements: Regarding Luggage Delivery] - On Day 7, suitcases and other large pieces of luggage will be transported separately the following day by truck from hotels in Tokyo to hotels in Kyoto. Also, they will be sent from hotels in Kyoto by truck on Day 13 to hotels in Tokyo. *In regards to the luggage transport service for the return trip, while delivery is scheduled for the same day, it may be next day due to shipping company conditions. In such cases, it will be sent separately from the Kyoto hotel accommodation on Day 11 and arrive in Tokyo the following day. *One article of standard size luggage per customer will be transported. *As delivery is the following day, please prepare an overnight package for a single night stay.
